The Senior Program Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of marketing and event initiatives from intake through delivery. This role partners closely with Marketing, Events, Creative, Demand, Sales, and external vendors to ensure timelines stay on track, stakeholders remain aligned, and results are clearly communicated.
As the leader of Marketing’s program and project management function, this position establishes best practices, drives process excellence, and provides teams with the tools and support needed for effective project delivery. The Senior Program Manager partners closely with executive leaders and cross‑functional teams to guide programs from concept through completion, with a strong focus on performance measurement and continuous improvement.
This role is based at WellSky’s World Headquarters in Overland Park, KS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for marketing and event initiatives.
- Own project intake, scoping, timelines, dependencies, and delivery plans.
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate goals into clear, actionable project plans.
- Facilitate regular project checkins, status updates, and stakeholder reviews.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies; drive resolution and escalation as needed.
- Establish, monitor, and manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and resources, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment across cross functional teams such as Marketing, Creative, Events, Sales, Operations, and external partners.
- Track progress against milestones and communicate delivery status to leadership.
- Support post-initiative reporting, including timeline performance, outcomes, and lessons learned.
- Continuously improve project management processes, templates, and ways of working within Marketing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 8-12 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Smartsheet
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting marketing teams in B2B, SaaS, or healthcare-adjacent environments.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and improve day‑to‑day business processes.
- Experience working with external agencies or vendors.
- Smartsheet certification
- PMP or similar project/program management certification
