These ultra-small, feature-rich solutions are optimized for a wide range of applications across smartphones, computing, wearables, automotive, and industrial markets.

Job Summary:

This is a regional product marketing role responsible for driving business growth across North America for Semtech Smart Sensing products. The role covers consumer and automotive market segments, including key OEM accounts, with force sensing as the primary focus and capacitive sensing as a future expansion area. You will collaborate with the Applications and Sales teams to evaluate existing and emerging markets, define regional market requirements, and implement strategies to generate design wins and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Market strategy and analysis: Evaluate and own regional marketing strategies and conduct analyses based on business objectives, North America market trends, competition, and value and cost factors; manage the regional marketing budget, develop and maintain regional pricing strategies, and partner with global segment marketing leads to align regional priorities with broader go-to-market strategies.

  • Competitive intelligence: Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape for force sensing and capacitive sensing, providing actionable insights to inform positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Sales support: Provide product training to North America Sales, FAEs, and representatives; create marketing collateral, datasheets, and presentations for new product launches and customer engagements.

  • Industry engagement: Attend North America tradeshows, workshops, and conferences focused on consumer electronics and automotive; collaborate with reference design and ecosystem partners on joint promotional and co-marketing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in consumer or automotive markets, preferably with force sensing, MEMS, or related sensing technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience collaborating with global and regional product development teams to successfully bring new products to market.

  • Strong customer engagement skills with North America OEMs, including negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.

  • Demonstrated understanding of electro-mechanical systems and how force, pressure, or touch sensing integrates into consumer and automotive device designs.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and enthusiastic, with a strong commitment to achieving business objectives.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment across engineering, sales, and business development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels across customers and internal stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of capacitive sensing technologies and applications; this role is expected to expand into capacitive sensing over time.

  • Experience with automotive sensing applications.

  • Experience in RF systems.

  • Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuitry.

  • Prior experience in a regional marketing or business development role (North America preferred).
