Job Summary:
PayPal's Global Compliance Platform team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the next generation RegTech solutions to meet PayPal’s global regulatory needs as we scale to 1B daily active users. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible to lead problem & solution discovery across various geographies to devise scalable and flexible product solutions. As a Product Manager in this space, you will lead the end-to-end development of solutions that will make Paypal compliant while providing best in class customer experience. You will collaborate with technology teams and cross functional stakeholders from Policy makers, Legal, Analytics, Operations, Key Business Stakeholders, Sales and Marketing, to deliver on the product outcomes.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
- Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
- Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
- Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
- Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
- Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.
Expected Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

General Responsibilities
Work closely with policy, analytics and business teams to understand the crux of the policy requirements and the inherent compliance risks that need to be addressed in PayPal’s product offerings in scope.
Establish deep understanding of platform and technology in product area to create scalable & flexible solutions.
Author product requirements, epics, user stories across multiple complex and cross-functional feature/ service areas and create flow documents to ensure solutions are architected to cover Business needs and requirements.
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact and work with implementation teams to deliver multi sprint roadmaps while optimizing time to market.
Lead the discovery phases of new feature rollouts with a set of cross functional stakeholders from various business teams, engineering, and other product managers across the organization.
Define product outcomes, evangelize across the cross functional organization.
Evaluate trade-offs amongst multiple solutions and influence roadmap for one or more service/feature areas based on technical feasibility, business timelines and customer impact.
Think strategically and creatively to gather product and customer insights and help define the Product Vision and Strategy
Recommend new processes, workarounds, and ability to challenge the status quo.
Conduct market research, gather feedback from internal regional & operations teams and analyze existing product flows, contact reasons and net-promoter-scores to identify experience gaps.
Viewed as a service or product expert for a single product/service area or as having broad experience that is helpful on new initiatives.
Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
8+ years of experience in Product Management, with a significant portion focused on Compliance Risk Management, and RegTech products.
The individual will be a horizontal leader who will work with several functional experts to outline the platform as a product, obsessing about platform foundations and integrity, platform adoption via APIs, adoption tools and documentation for 1st, 2nd and even 3rd party users and hyper-focus on usage via monitoring and dashboards.
Good understanding of Compliance domain - specifically Sanctions and AML Compliance - key global and regional regulators, regulatory expectations and challenges in balancing compliance requirements with operational efficiencies & business/customer impact.
Good understanding of Payment Compliance regulations, general payment processing flows and inherent steps - auth/capture, settlement and reconciliation.
Strong familiarity with screening techniques, watchlist formats, integration challenges with list providers and false positive reduction methodologies
Strong platform first thinking
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Skilled at working with cross functional groups and matrix organizations in multiple geographies.
Analyze complex problems, make data-driven decisions, and balance competing priorities (e.g., risk mitigation vs. operational efficiency vs. cost).
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills – ability to cut through noise and focus on what really matters. Out of the box thinker and ability to come up with creative solutions to customer problems.
Proven ability to deliver on a new product challenge effectively and efficiently.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate at various levels in the organization.
