Main Functions
The Senior Product Manager will own Fralock’s active and structural ceramic product line, leading product strategy from roadmap development through execution. This role translates customer, market, and technical requirements into actionable product plans that support growth, profitability, manufacturability, and long-term customer value. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and site leadership, the Senior Product Manager ensures the product line is commercially compelling, technically differentiated, and aligned with Fralock’s strategic priorities across semiconductor, aerospace and defense, medical, industrial, and other high-reliability markets.
Typical Duties
Lead product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and commercial execution for active and structural ceramic products. Evaluate market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, pricing, profitability, and product performance to identify growth opportunities and guide investment priorities. Serve as the product line owner and cross-functional leader, aligning Engineering, Operations, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management around product priorities, customer commitments, launch readiness, and lifecycle management. Support customer engagements, new business opportunities, product realization, and production readiness while driving decisions that strengthen margin, quality, operational execution, and customer value.
Required Skills
- Product management experience in technical, engineered materials, semiconductor, aerospace and defense, medical, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of active and structural ceramic materials, applications, manufacturing processes, and performance requirements
- Ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, business cases, pricing recommendations, and lifecycle plans
- Experience translating customer requirements into product specifications, manufacturing requirements, and execution plans
- Working knowledge of quality systems, process capability, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, and 5S practices
- Proven ability to partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Program Management, Quality, and Supply Chain to launch and manage technical products
- Strong financial acumen, including margin analysis, forecasting, cost drivers, and commercial decision-making
- Excellent customer-facing, communication, presentation, teamwork, and influencing skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and drive accountability from concept through production
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ceramic components used in semiconductor equipment, aerospace and defense, medical, industrial, or other high-reliability applications
- Familiarity with alumina, aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, zirconia, quartz, or other advanced ceramic materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience with voice-of-customer research, pricing strategy, product launches, and product line profitability reviews
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Business, or a related technical field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, engineering, applications engineering, program management, or technical commercial leadership within engineered materials or advanced manufacturing.
- 5+ years of experience with ceramic materials, semiconductor components, high-precision parts, or complex technical products serving high-reliability markets.
- Demonstrated ownership of product strategy, roadmap development, customer requirements, pricing inputs, margin improvement, product launches, and lifecycle management for technical products.
