The Sr Product Manager - Top-Level Domains (TLDs), is focused on documenting TLD launches and new features and enhancements to the the TLD product roadmap.  This role drives efficiencies into TLD launch and feature delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manages the detailed feature and functionality definition of Verisign's TLD launches which includes use case definition, concept and requirement document creation and roadmap planning.
  • Develops a deep understanding of new gTLD launch requirements and how they are provisioned within Verisign. Responsible for updating internal and external documentation related to the service or feature.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to validate early potential concepts.
  • Operates as a key player of a cross-functional team to deliver documentation that meets the needs of internal audiences on time, within scope and with high quality. Cultivates relationships with the platform, technology services, customer support, finance, legal, marketing and account management teams while ensuring compliance.
  • Identifies customer usage patterns and business development opportunities.
  • Through technical writing, clearly documents and explains concepts, solution planning, and development processes for cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Assesses product concepts and user needs to determine optimal feature sets.
  • Reporting (Tableau, Splunk, Excel, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree, preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience with a mix of product management, product development, and business development
  • At least 4 years of technical writing, process development, and reporting experience
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to share insights with peers
  • Advanced experience and familiarity with reporting tools (Tableau, Splunk, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrable planning and organization skills
  • Strong business acumen, good judgment, attention to detail, objectivity, and accountability
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to partner with a large number of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively, making data-informed recommendations

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $149,300 - $201,900.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
