As a Fab Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing processes to support high-volume production. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve process issues, improve process capability, enhance product performance, and implement new materials, equipment, and technologies. The role requires strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making, and the ability to leverage modern digital and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering productivity and manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain semiconductor fabrication processes to improve yield, quality, reliability, productivity, and manufacturing cost performance.
  • Analyze process excursions and manufacturing issues using methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and implement new equipment, materials, process recipes, and technology changes while ensuring compliance with performance and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to reduce process variation, improve process capability, and support new product introductions.
  • Utilize data analytics, Generative AI, AI-enabled tools, and automation solutions to improve workflow efficiency, develop analytical insights, and support data-driven decision making.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in process development, process optimization, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process monitoring methodologies.
  • Experience managing technical projects and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience applying AI, Generative AI, or AI-assisted tools to improve engineering workflows, data analysis, problem solving, or productivity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in data analysis and automation tools, including SQL, Tableau, and Python, with the ability to perform data mining, develop dashboards, and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Experience using Generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT/GPT, or other approved AI-assisted technologies to automate workflows, develop applications, and enhance engineering productivity.
  • Hands-on experience with LAM KIYO etch systems, including process development, chamber matching, qualification, troubleshooting, SPC monitoring, and yield improvement activities.
  • Advanced expertise with JMP for statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), process optimization, capability studies, regression analysis, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated workstation leadership experience, including leading cross-functional teams, managing engineering priorities, influencing stakeholders, and driving process improvement initiatives to achieve operational and quality objectives.
