As a Product Manager on our RCM team focusing on Insurance Eligibility, you’ll play a key role in shaping products that help practices verify patient benefits, streamline claims, and reduce the administrative burden of insurance processing.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver solutions that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve cash flow for dental practices. Your work will directly support providers in getting paid faster and ensuring patients receive the care they need without unnecessary delays.
This position can be hybrid in American Fork, UT or remote in the United States with the ability to travel up to 10%.
What You Will Do
- Conduct customer research and interviews to understand user needs and uncover real-world challenges, and preferences to address complex problems
- Translate customer insights into clear product strategies and roadmaps that guide investment decisions
- Define and prioritize requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver product enhancements that provide measurable value to practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization – including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and support – to bring products to market and ensure adoption
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and leadership, and build durable artifacts to drive alignment and shared understanding
- Monitor payer trends, industry regulations, and competitive offerings to inform product direction and identify opportunities
- Learn from and be mentored by senior product managers, gaining exposure to best practices while developing your own product management skills
What You Will Have
- 4-5 years of product management experience in SaaS or B2B software
- Comprehensive RCM knowledge across the full revenue cycle (Scheduling → Eligibility → Estimates → Claims → Remits → Patient Statements), including denial management (CARC/RARC), clean claim optimization, A/R performance, claim scrubbing, appeals workflows, and write-off logic
- Insurance eligibility expertise, including X12 (270/271, 276/277, 835), clearinghouse and direct-to-payer integrations, payer companion guide interpretation, real-time vs. batch workflows, COB logic, benefit parsing (waiting periods, frequency limits), etc.
- Technical fluency in X12 EDI standards and familiarity with HL7/FHIR (Coverage & Eligibility), with experience normalizing payer responses into structured data models and integrating with EHR/practice management systems
- Data driven product leader who leverages KPIs such as eligibility automation rate, verification turnaround time, denial trends, clean claim rate, and collections performance alongside direct customer insights to inform roadmap decisions and drive measurable revenue impact
- Experienced cross-functional collaborator in matrixed environments, partnering across engineering, operations, and stakeholders to deliver customer- and business-impacting solutions
- Customer-focused and execution-oriented with a bias for action; skilled at breaking complex product goals into incremental, testable steps aligned with iterative development practices
- Excellent communicator with a continuous learning mindset, able to clearly present product progress and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels while actively seeking feedback and growth
The posted range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 which is the expected starting salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
