The Impact of Sr. Product Manager to Coupa:
As Sr. Product Manager in the Supply Chain Optimization team, you’ll evolve, define, and build innovative, differentiating and profitable products by leveraging your industry experience and engagement with forward-thinking customers. This role is to own the supply chain data platform. This includes the Data Flows product that is used by business users to build the supply chain digital twin via data transformation operations and is also responsible for integrating to 3rd party data sources.
You will be responsible for applications across the entire product lifecycle from strategy to delivery with all the steps in between, like defining market needs, writing detailed product requirements, providing development support, communicating the solution’s benefits and enabling downstream teams.
You sit in the middle of the business community, engineering team, and user experience team and are the voice of the customer. You must enjoy spending time with customers to understand their pain points and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You’ll build products from existing ideas, and help develop new and innovative ideas based on your industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. You relentlessly seek solutions with a measurable commercial impact and can elaborate on these financial benefits.
What you’ll do:
- Drive the vision, roadmap planning and execution of Data Flows product, both short-term through the next several months in detail, as well as mapping out the next year or two
- Balance innovation, customer, and market needs to deliver delightful, useful, and simple experiences
- Manage the entire product life cycle, including strategy, roadmap, feature design, development, go-to-market, and field support
- Work closely with engineering through design, build, test of requirements (stories) and documentation
- Conducting competitive market analysis and analyzing potential partnerships for the product
- Represent the product internally and externally, with occasional global travel and presentations—both internally, and to customers with wide-ranging user needs and levels of sophistication
What you bring to Coupa:
- You have 8+ years of Product Management experience at the Senior PM level.
- You understand the importance and language of UX, and work well with designers to prioritize and drive highly usable, well-designed solutions with clear UX standards.
- You’re eager to learn and have a history of quickly mastering complex new areas. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle work or questions hands-on.
- You know your market, customers, and competition, and you integrate this information into your product strategies.
- You can balance team, company, and external priorities, and make effective and well-reasoned
- You want to grow a business, solve customer problems and prioritize ruthlessly and logically.
