Your New Role...
CNN seeks a talented Senior Producer to join the CNN Newsroom Editorial team!
Your Role Accountabilities...

  • The Sr. Producer is responsible for the production of all things Video On demand on CNN's streaming platforms. Duties include managing the curation of content for video on demand and support of live streaming newscasts.
  • The Senior Producer collaborates with other teams to elevate video content, uses insights to inform their decision-making.
  • Partner with the production teams and editors to: identify and develop stories, offer input into interview subjects and conduct pre-interviews that provide depth, insight and balance, conduct research and identify, acquire and organize distinctive archival footage and existing CNN material
  • Help craft story lines, write scripts, supervise the edit process, obtain necessary legal clearance, and vet their individual projects


Your Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5 or more years of hands-on production experience in TV/news/digital production.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Must demonstrate strong writing and production experience.
  • Must demonstrate strong initiative, commitment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience booking interviews and directing and managing crews in the field is very helpful.
  • Must be flexible and able to the ability to line up interviews quickly and produce material in the field under deadline pressures.
