Job SummaryLittelfuse, a leader in Power semiconductor and ESD products is looking to add a senior engineer to its R&D and Technology development team located in a regional design center or virtual.
The Sr. R&D Engineer will lead the development of ESD protection devices (TVS), including new device structures and process integration. The role will coordinate TCAD simulation to accelerate process planning, device optimization, and development efficiency.
About the job:1. New Product Device & Process Development
- Develop new TVS/ESD protection, including device structure design and process flow integration
- Optimize key electrical parameters to meet product specifications (e.g., breakdown, leakage, ESD/Surge capability)
2. Process Development and Device Optimization with TCAD
- Provide device structures and correlate TCAD results to plan new process modules and tune key parameters.
3. Foundry Collaboration and Process Transfer
- Work with in-house and outsourced wafer fabs to develop, qualify, and transfer processes to manufacturing
4. Technology Scouting
- Scout and evaluate leading-edge semiconductor device technologies, TVS/ESD protection solutions, and process innovations aligned to future product roadmaps
5. Cross-Functional Technical Support
- Partner across Product Marketing, Product Engineering, Operation, and Quality teams to support yield improvement, process excursions, and failure analysis (FA)
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or related disciplines
- Familiar with TVS technology (experience with Discrete Power MOSFET / IGBT is a plus)
- 3+ years of hands-on TCAD simulation, fab process integration and optimization experience is highly preferred
- Solid foundation in semiconductor device physics and process integration
- Well English communication skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
- Self-starter and team player
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a cross-cultural environment and collaborating with global teams and partners
