Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) seeks a detail-oriented, high-energy, and self-motivated candidate to join our Manufacturing Engineering team as a Senior Principal Project Management Analyst on-site in Rolling Meadows, IL.
This role reports to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering in a dynamic production support environment. This setting is ideal for those that work with a sense of urgency and enjoy diverse tasks. The ideal candidate is an innovative problem solver that welcomes learning and growth opportunities.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will provide project leadership critical to the function’s success by leveraging strong business acumen and expertise in managing complex projects. They will perform data analysis with tools such as SIMPL and Tableau to inform decisions regarding Non-Recuring Engineering (NRE) efforts, Capital management, Earned Value Management (EVM), and staffing planning. They will provide recommendations for action, identify risks and opportunities, and manage special projects in support of the organization. They will also manage business cadence actions associated with leadership and cross-functional requests. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide assistance and support to leadership to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and reporting of site metrics with data integrity.
- Complete Capital Project financial reporting in partnership with technical leaders using SIMPL and Tableau tools.
- Give support for site crises, including immediate mitigation, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis, cross functional coordination, and lessons learned documentation.
- Demonstrate communication excellence at all levels of the organization in written, verbal, and presentation modes.
- Independently demonstrate the skill and ability to organize and perform complex professional tasks.
Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Project Management Business Operations Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience OR a master’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience producing reports and dashboards.
- Experience interpreting data trends, forecasting, and providing actionable insights.
- Experience coordinating project tasks, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to achieve all requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with SAP for financial reporting or project data management.
- Minimum of 1 year experience utilizing dashboards or data visualizations in Tableau or similar tools.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with SharePoint for document management, permissions, uploading content, and maintaining organized folders.
- Advanced experience in Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, and basic data modeling experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SIMPL for Capital project management.
- Experience working with technical professionals.
- Experience working across functions and leading through influence.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools.

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
