Sr Consultant Engineer (APEM)

The RoleAs an AspenTech Senior Consultant Engineer you will provide consulting to clients implementing our software with a specific focus on the MES products: Aspen Production Execution Manager and related families. The successful individual will be responsible for undertaking consulting services for AspenTech clients in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, with opportunities to engage in projects around the world.
You will also be a key driving force in delivering MES technology to new and existing customers. You will become an expert in the configuration and use of our platform, onboarding new customers and ensuring that all their requirements are met. As well as working with internal product management, marketing, and sales teams, you will also regularly communicate with customers via email, web calls, and face-to-face meetings.

Your Impact

• Serve as subject matter expert in leading and implementing AspenTech MES projects. This includes but not limited to:
• Gathering customer requirements and translating those into high-level solution designs for aspenONE MES products (Aspen Production Execution Manager, Aspen Infoplus.21, AspenTech Inmation, Aspen Production Record Manager, aspenONE Process Explorer, etc.)
• Deliver technical documents such as Functional Specifications, Detailed Design Documents, as well as Site Acceptance Test Documents.
• Be confident, capable, and have solid ability to play a leading role on projects.
• Experience working on validated projects and possessing knowledge of GxP practices.
• Demonstrate collaboration with the AspenTech Project Management team, Sales Team, involving technical to non-technical aspects of the project.
• Formulating business processes to support the systems.
• Working with clients to implement the systems and delivery of systems.
• Commissioning the completed systems which may require on site monitoring and analysis.
• Participation in commercial proposal development and testing of software new releases.
• Conducting demonstrations, training, requirements analysis and system design workshops.
• Prepare and adjust training material for MES products and related integration.
• Support team members and peers, as a trusted advisor.

What You'll Need

• 4 - 8 years of experience implementing Manufacturing Execution system software in one or more of the process industries listed above.
• Experience with programming languages such as Lua, .NET, VB, C++, SQL etc. Strong technical programming background is a plus.
• Experience with implementation of Electronic Batch Recording and real-time databases or historians, particularly Aspen APEM and InfoPlus.21.
• Ability to travel (typical 15-25% travel on a calendar basis).
• Understanding of information security principals and challenges faced when integrating cross-functional processes across large organisations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Fluency in English. Other language skills are a plus.
• An inquisitive nature and a need to understand why and how things are done and not be afraid to ask questions.
