Sr Perimeter Network Engineer - Palo Alto - RemoteJob Description

The Systems Engineer Senior IT is responsible for constructing detail design based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configuration of Palo Alto firewall policy utilizing AppID, URL filtering, Threat, and Wildfire.
• Configuration of Palo Alto firewall virtual routers and routing policy using BGP as the primary routing protocol.
• Support for Palo Alto Global Protect.
• Installation, configuration and support of Palo Alto Firewalls using Panorama.
• Collaborate with IT Security departments to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with other staff and departments to meet department and project deadlines. • Use ITIL process and procedures for change, incident, and problem management of perimeter network environments.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Experience with specific domain relevant to team
• 5 years of experience in a variety of Networking areas including design implement and support of: Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Palo Alto Log Collectors, Palo Alto Global Protect and Routing Technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall Policy, URL Filtering, Threat and Wildfire •

• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall routing using BGP

• Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access, Strata Cloud Manager and Cloud Identity Engine

• Regulatory compliance requirements (such as HIPAA and PCI) o Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
• Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
• Understanding of security implications of domain
• ITIL Foundations Certification

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime’s core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Reporting Structure

• Reports to a Manager in the IT department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
