Job Description:
Summary: Process payroll transactions. Perform data entry and accounting services. 5-7 years payroll processing experience required. Extensive payroll experience in a fast-paced, multi-state, demanding environment is needed. Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws, garnishment laws, and taxability of wages. CPP or FPC preferred but not required.
*Candidates must be located near our Minnetonka, MN office as the role is hybrid with 2 days a week in office.
Responsibilities may include:
- Lead daily, biweekly, and special payroll processes for multi-state payroll for Us non-exempt and exempt employees.
- Process payroll for up to 500* employees
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Maintain payroll control records
- Provide guidance to the team on payroll processing, tax laws, garnishments, system issues and general troubleshooting in payroll.
- Assist with mentoring of payroll specialists and as a backup for their duties.
- Work with the team to research and respond to escalated employee inquiries.
- Authorizes, reviews, and prepare complex payroll transactions.
- Assist with final payroll check calculation review
- Perform adhoc projects as needed
- Assist in month/quarter/year-end close
- Completes verification of employment verifications, garnishments, and EDD notices as needed.
- Provide support to managers and employees with Workday’s time tracking and absence modules
- Back up for payroll transmit.
- Exemplifies professionalism

- High proficient in excel (vlooks, pivot tables, and formulas)
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment.

Position's Pay Range:
