We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to join us. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned paralegal to work directly with our team, supporting a variety of corporate legal matters and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our legal operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in legal research, document preparation, compliance issues, and project coordination, plus the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract management, intellectual property, litigation, and correspondence

  • Manage intake and administration of incoming legal requests and notices, including but not limited to requests for document review, ad hoc advice, subpoenas, garnishments, and levies

  • Assist in the management of litigation, discovery, and legal holds

  • Draft, review, and revise a wide range of documents, including non-disclosure agreements, contracts, and other various legal documents

  • Assist with maintenance of corporate records, including minute books, agendas, organizational documents, and other governance documents

  • Ensure compliance with the firm's internal document retention policy and state and federal requirements

  • Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring records are up-to-date and easily accessible

  • Conduct legal and non-legal research

  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements within the Legal Department

  • Coordinate the onboarding and management of outside legal counsel, including budgeting and processing invoices to ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines; experience with Legal Tracker or similar systems is a plus

  • Support the Legal Department in departmental functions

  • Act as a liaison between the Legal Department and other business units, fostering collaborative relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; paralegal certification preferred;

  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience as a paralegal, ideally with experience at a major law firm or in-house at a public company

  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation

  • Experience with contract law, including structure of contracts and contract life-cycle management

  • Knowledgeable about laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail

  • Self-starter who understands executing with urgency and has an ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team player

  • Demonstrated clarity in written and spoken expression

  • Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time

  • Must be willing to work in office from the Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas
