The Role

Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions. 

As part of the Operations Management team, this position will focus on the supervision and leadership of Account Executives. Additionally, the Operations Manager works in partnership with the Agents and Sales Representatives to help manage and grow our current transactional account base. 

Responsibilities  

  • Knowledge on relevant modes of transportation (Air, Ocean, Small Parcel, LTL, TL, Partial, Flatbed, etc.) to provide effective solutions and client service 

  • Continually analyze accounts to determine efficiency and profitability 

  • Leverage operational support to continually improve the efficiency of overall book of business 

  • Lead team members to drive efficiency 

  • Responsible for monitoring key performance indicators of your team 

  • Cultivate talent through teaching, coaching and developing your team on a daily basis 

  • Generate innovative ideas to remove operational obstacles 

  • Build relationships with clients through constant contact and advocacy by offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management 

 Requirements 

  • 5 years of management experience

  • Strong leadership skills 

  • Eagerly accepting of new challenges, self-managed and motivated 

  • Proven ability to form long lasting client partnerships 

  • Confidence to make tough decisions when necessary 

  • Proven track record for continuous improvement

Work environment/physical demands summary:

This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
