Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain a hybrid network infrastructure consisting primarily of on-premise systems with integrated AWS environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network systems while actively participating in operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.


The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing complex, multi-vendor network environments, with strong operational discipline and the ability to support mission-critical systems. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance across on-premise and AWS environments.
  • Administer and support network devices including switches, firewalls, VPN platforms, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Perform proactive network health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Automate reporting, inventory, health checks and deployments where applicable.
  • Respond to incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and coordinate with vendors for WAN circuits, ISP services, and security platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and timely ticket updates, documentation, and change records.
  • Plan and execute network changes with detailed implementation and rollback procedures.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Support network security initiatives including segmentation, access control, and threat mitigation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to support business-critical services.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in hybrid environments, including on‑premise systems integrated with AWS networking (VPC design and routing, VPN and Direct Connect integrations, security groups, and NACLs).
  • Strong expertise in Cisco switching and routing, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, with hands‑on experience designing and supporting Layer 2/3 architectures (VLANs, STP, QoS, and high availability).
  • Experience supporting data center, wireless, and enterprise networking platforms, including Cisco Nexus switches and HPE Aruba solutions (Aruba Central, CX switches, and wireless access points).
  • Hands‑on experience with network security technologies, including firewall platforms, firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, threat‑prevention concepts, and network access control (e.g., Cisco FTD/FMC, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ISE).
  • Experience using network monitoring and alerting tools to support availability, performance, and incident response.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills within complex, multi‑vendor enterprise environments, along with experience following change management and documentation standards.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or advanced security frameworks (e.g., zero‑trust) is a plus, depending on operational needs

Salary Range (Norwalk, CT): $125,932.60 to $167,910.13

Annual Bonus Potential: 10%


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, and/or other business and organizational needs.
