General Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise networking experience to design, implement, and support next-generation network infrastructure across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in firewalls, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), application delivery, VXLAN EVPN, and cloud networking, with a strong background in network architecture and infrastructure modernization.
This role requires a combination of senior technical leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with Leadership, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to develop and execute network strategies that support business growth, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
This individual will be based out of Chattanooga TN (UNUM HQ) and will play a critical role in shaping the organization's network strategy.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, architecture, and operations.
- Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise and data center networks.
- Demonstrated success leading complex infrastructure projects and network modernization initiatives.
Technical Expertise
- Expert-level experience with enterprise firewall technologies and security architecture.

Primary Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Design
- Design and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise network architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$89,400.00-$183,500.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
