Job Summary:
Responsible for the developmen tthe creation of mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under reduced supervision. Assists in developing mechanical system designs and analytical models using working knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, constructible mechanical solutions. Leads assigned construction administration activities and supports project execution through technical coordination, scope management, and risk evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in the management and production of mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout the design lifecycle from conceptual design through construction documents under reduced supervision.
Supports review of mechanical deliverables to ensure scope, quality, and coordination standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Develops mechanical system designs for HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment systems using working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Leads construction administration activities in collaboration with managers, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
Utilizes CAD and modeling tools to create and review coordinated 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models.
Assists project managers with cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation related to mechanical systems.
Participates in professional development and supports implementation of technical and process improvements.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred.
