Dyson is about better ideas and better technologies, as the Ecommerce Manager you will play a significant role in bringing our eCom and digital vision to life in leading the 3rd party eCom/ marketplaces strategy and operations for MEA
About the role
At Dyson our Owner is central to everything we do and your role will make sure that owners are getting fantastic experience via our e-commerce partners.
The Ecommerce Manager/ Sr. Ecommerce Manager will be at the helm of driving continuous digital customer journey improvements; you will help deliver the strategic direction of the digital business. You are expected to work closely with a network of digital, marketing, logistics and sales colleagues based in Dyson’s global as well as local functions. Working with a cross functional team both you will be accountable for the performance of our e-com/ pureplayer business
Key responsibilities:
- Set strategy and direction for Ecommerce / Marketplaces both existing and new and work cross functionally to bring this to life
- Team Management, build, nurture and enable a high performing team
- P&L Management: Work with partners across the business to deliver annual, quarterly and weekly targets. Within this work you’ll need to partner closely with both supply chain on stock availability and plans and finance to ensure we are delivering commercial targets.
- Account Management: You’ll be the lead on account and with your team the primary point of contact for our 3rd party eCom/ Pureplayer business. You’ll need to manage complex group of demanding external stakeholders to get the best results for the Dyson business.
- 3rd party owner experience: Work with stakeholders to ensure we are delighting owners at every touchpoint with Dyson- focus on driving registrations and live digital demo within 3rd party eCom/ pureplayer setting.
- Be voice of market in ensuring right input is given in timely manner to optimisations and NPD for 3rd party eCom.
- Project lead for key season moments: Ensure we have great cross functional plans for key peak moments on the web business- eg Summer Heat Wave, Black Friday etc.
- Digital expert within the broader MEA Market business sharing digital trends, insights and recommended actions.
About you
- Owner first Mind-set: You’ll Understand and think first and foremost what these plans and actions do for our owner experience.
- Proven team leader and people manager, experience managing and leading teams, nurturing talent and managing poor performance as needed.
- Proven Sales Track Record: 6-10 years sales experience in account management and leading negotiations ideally in digital and a premium branded setting
- Resilience: Ability to remain positive despite and with bias for action despite tough external circumstances
- Long Term Focus: Ability to see long term vision for total Dyson organisation and to make day to day calls to bring that to life
- Strategic Thinker: proven ability to set and implement digital strategy, leading a team as you do so.
- Comfortable with complexity and change: Ability to navigate matrix structure and react quickly to make changes based on latest market trends and dynamics.
- Team player: You’ll be comfortable working with diverse teams across the organisation and navigating a matrixed organisation.
- Strong communicator: Able to clearly communicate commercial & technical topics in a simple laymen’s terminology.
