Individual contributor role responsible for providing marketing support to experienced advisors and their teams. This role serves as a primary contact for advisor teams, developing strategy and support for marketing tools and platforms available to Thrivent advisors. This role will partner closely with Area Vice Presidents, Practice Growth Directors, and Teaming Consultants to prioritize support for this field segment. The Sr. Marketing Specialist serves as a liaison between the corporate marketing team and the sales force, providing financial advisor and field leader perspective for new marketing initiatives.
The Sr. Marketing Specialist leverages data and analytics to continuously improve results on behalf of their advisor teams. The senior specialist role is responsible for strategic development and delivery of marketing recommendations based on the unique needs of advisors and their teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Works directly with field resources to support marketing development designed to grow and sustain successful practices. Provides assistance with developing client acquisition, service and retention strategies; acts as liaison with custom content, compliance and other internal groups to provide superior experience.
- Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon marketing results. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources.
- Leads one-to-many trainings to increase advisor understanding of Thrivent’s marketing tools, especially digital capabilities such as websites and social media.
- Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational brand and Go-To-Market strategies; contributes to the development of actionable tactics that support brand recognition and affinity, productivity, and new member growth.
- Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and contribute to branding and distribution of member offers that attract target segments and drive membership engagement.
Required Job Qualifications
- 5+ years marketing or related experience
- College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.
- Experience in the financial services sector preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service mindset.
- Demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively to manage multiple projects simultaneously in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change. Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective, and more efficient marketing approaches.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $83,934.00 - $113,559.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
