Job Purpose                                                                              

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineers operate at the intersection of the engineering, sales, customer service and manufacturing departments, they must possess strong communication abilities, excellent technical skills, detailed oriented, and the capacity to facilitate teamwork across departments. Manufacturing Engineers are uniquely talented in both production and engineering analytical tasks.

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) *
  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing solutions and translate customer and engineering requirements into effective manufacturing processes
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and scalable production.
  • Lead responsible for Quality Management Process and Documentation for internal and external customers
  • Own and manage First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and FAI reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve detailed work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage product lifecycle activities, including standard product maintenance, revision control, and engineering change implementation (e.g., ECO, SPS).
  • Lead obsolescence management efforts, including risk assessment, customer notification, and qualification of replacement components or processes.
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying, specifying, and validating required tooling and test fixtures.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for complex manufacturing issues.
  • Oversee electrical build processes including wiring, harnessing, panel integration, and system validation.

Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred
  • 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role
  • Expert competency with IPC-A-620C standard or ability to attain expert competency as a preferred skill
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, automation, etc.)
  • Strong background in electrical systems (Control panels, MPDUs, PLCs, wiring, sensors, motion control)
  • Knowledge of CAD packages (AutoCAD, Autodesk or SolidWorks) and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or Industry 3.0/4.0 technologies preferred
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)
  • Lead Quality Management and nurture business relationships with our customers and vendors
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude with the ability to effectively work with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work at a fast-paced and learn products, systems, and sales processes
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Kaizen)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite/ Office / Excel / Word/ Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, CAPA, 8D, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in semiconductor or cleanroom manufacturing environments
