At SailPoint, the Community and Education team is on a mission to grow identity security skills to meet the increasing demand for talent in the industry. We are seeking an innovative and strategic leader to drive the vision and expansion of the Training and Certification Development team. In this role, the Sr. Manager will shape industry-leading learning experiences, ensuring our training and certification programs are high-impact, scalable, and learner-centric. The Sr. Manager's leadership will play a pivotal role in enhancing workforce readiness for the identity security industry, strengthening customer success, and positioning SailPoint as the first destination for identity security education within our dynamic SaaS and software product ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a long-term vision for the training and certification development program that aligns with business growth, SailPoint’s product evolution, and customer success.

Foster a learner-centric, digital-first, agile mindset across the team, transforming the current curriculum from product-based to role-based education that scales for both on-demand and instructor-led modalities.

Drive high team performance while cultivating team psychological safety, accountability with support, and a growth mindset through continuous improvement and professional development.

Develop strong cross-functional alignment by effectively collaborating with Community and Education, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and GTM leaders.

Use a data-driven and scalable approach to continuously collect and analyze learner feedback and measure the success and ROI of training and certification programs.

Effectively manage the team’s budget and emerging technologies to drive operational excellence, while communicating risks and trade-offs as needed.

Ensure courses and exams are developed and prioritized to support business objectives, including training-related sales targets and increased product adoption.

Assess content development and learning experience operations to drive efficiency, enhance cross-functional communication, improve team capabilities, ensuring high-quality education is delivered on time, at scale, and within budget.

Establish thought leadership by positioning Training and Certification as a strategic driver of business value, leveraging data-driven insights to inform the Community and Education team’s business strategy.
Requirements

7+ years of experience leading training and certification development, product management, or business operations.

5+ years managing teams, driving accountability, performance, and professional growth.

Proven ability to set and execute strategy, leveraging data-driven insights, OKRs, and business roadmaps.

Team builder with the ability to develop inclusive, collaborative, growth-minded team cultures.

Strong change management skills, guiding teams through ambiguity and transformation.

Confident decision-maker and problem-solver, skilled in balancing priorities, managing risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Experience managing blended full-time employee and vendor teams as well as budgets, optimizing resources for accelerated business outcomes.

Strong executive stakeholder management, with a track record for collaboration across global teams.

Continuous learning mindset, staying ahead of industry trends in training, certification, and identity security.

An aptitude for developing subject matter expertise on the identity security talent market and emerging, in-demand jobs and skills.

Experienced using MS Office and various project management tools.
Preferred:

Experience managing digital-first, technical training programs in a SaaS or technology company.

Track record for thought leadership in training and certification best practices, including contributing to industry forums, publications, or speaking engagements.

Proficiency in curriculum development, project management and relevant AI tools, including Skilljar, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Walnut, Asana, MS Excel, and Confluence.

Knowledgeable on developing Professional Certification programs that align with industry standards and talent needs.

Previous experience in identity security, identity and access management (IAM), or identity governance and administration (IGA), a plus.
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$105,630 - $150,900 - $196,170
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
