Position Overview
ID Logistics is seeking a Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering & Solutions Design to lead complex warehouse solution design initiatives supporting major customer opportunities across our distribution network.
This senior individual contributor will own multiple concurrent RFI, RFQ, and RFP projects from requirements analysis through solution design, financial modeling, proposal development, customer presentation, and implementation handoff. The role leads through technical expertise and influence, partnering with Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, Automation, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, competitive, and scalable solutions.

Location: Hybrid in John’s Creek, GA. Relocation assistance will be considered on a case by case basis.
Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5:00pm with flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for any site level emergencies.
Travel Specifics: 25%-50% at times depending on project needs across sites subject to change based on business needs.
Competitive Compensation: A competitive total rewards package including an attractive annual salary $104,000-$140,000, performance-based bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 5 to 20 concurrent solution design projects across different stages of the RFI, RFQ, and RFP lifecycle.
- Guide solution design decisions through the disciplined application of financial and operational guardrails, including VCPU, FCPU, FCPC, capital efficiency, labor productivity, and profitability targets. Evaluate alternative solution scenarios and drive recommendations that maintain competitive positioning while achieving customer, operational, and financial objectives.
- Serve as the technical and commercial owner for complex warehouse and distribution solutions.
- Develop facility layouts, labor models, process flows, storage strategies, automation concepts, capacity plans, and operating models.
- Deliver detailed technical and financial proposals within compressed customer timelines while maintaining quality, accuracy, and profitability requirements.
- Apply financial guardrails, including variable and fixed unit costs, capital requirements, productivity assumptions, and ROI measures.
- Benchmark proposed solutions against previous submissions, operational performance, and applicable U.S. and global standards.
- Develop proposal bridges explaining material changes in technical, operational, capital, and commercial assumptions.
- Challenge internal teams and vendors to test assumptions, anticipate customer needs, manage risks, and evaluate more competitive alternatives.
- Lead cross-functional project teams through technical credibility, collaboration, accountability, and influence.
- Support facility start-ups, expansions, retrofits, implementation readiness, and post-implementation performance validation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, applicable Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Industrial Engineering, Solutions Design, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent solution design projects through different stages of the RFI, RFQ, or RFP process.
- Experience within a 3PL, contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, or similarly complex customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrated technical and commercial ownership of large-scale solutions, including projects representing approximately $60 million or more in annual revenue and $20 million to $100 million in capital investment.
- Experience delivering complex technical and financial proposals under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, facility layout, material flow, labor planning, process optimization, and material handling systems.
- Experience developing business cases, capital requests, cost models, pricing assumptions, and ROI analyses.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence customers, executives, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives through influence without direct reporting authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD, warehouse simulation, modeling, or analytics tools.
- Experience with WMS and related operational technology.
- Knowledge of automation technologies, including conveyance, sortation, goods-to-person systems, AMRs/AGVs, ASRS, and related material handling solutions.
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
