This is a leadership role accountable for all insights and analytics for the Savory category with a primary focus on making a tangible impact on the business. This leader will have responsibility of the analytics & insights for the Savory category and will deliver holistic, data-driven, category and brand-level insights and action plans that have clear business actionability. The Sr. Manager should proactively identify business opportunities and offer solutions based on her/his deep understanding of category and consumer insights by leveraging analytics that holistically combine all internal, external and syndicated data sources. The key success driver for this role is to provide a tangible and measurable business impact by leveraging various quantitative and qualitative research, leveraging/integrating of advanced analytics capabilities that feed into the development and execution of strategies that drive the category.
Key responsibilities:
Holistic Business Understanding and Thought Leadership
  • Single point leader responsible for the application and integration of all US data, insights, capabilities and knowledge to drive the Savory business strategies and plan. Manages complex business issues and helps the team set strategic direction. Acts as a business leader and partner, not just a market research specialist.
  • Uses knowledge of key macro trends, leads understanding of consumer, market and competitive landscape and leverages multiple internal, external and syndicated data sources to proactively diagnose business performance and address focused business issues.
  • Leads and applies understanding of brand/marketing fundamentals to assess category drivers, copy quality, brand health, consumer behavior and assists in category/brand strategies development. Integrates media tracking and advanced analysis (MMM) with brand health understanding and consumer media consumption understanding to assist and recommend optimum marketing and media strategies.
  • Identifies trends that will impact our categories by leveraging 'real-time' data and contemporary analytics.

Leading Business Reviews
  • Diagnose business performance to achieve short-term and long-term financial goals. Specifically leverage syndicated data, Nielsen Data (POS, Panel etc.), Receipt data, Customer Data and lead monthly business performance analysis that includes proactively highlighting issues and recommending potential solutions.
  • Effectively guides cross-functional team members to an objective viewpoint and influences leadership in the implementation of action steps to drive the business. Communicates complex issues with impact and clarity. Maintains a constructive approach to conflict.

Consumer Insights Leadership
  • Ensures that the team uses a broad range of contemporary research and analytics tools / resources / processes to assess business issues. Evaluates and incorporates new/emerging research tools that provide increased consumer insight and business growth; Acts as a consumer expert and leader of research design and interpretation of results.
  • Interpret and pragmatically translates research learning into feasible business building action steps and ensures alignment with key business partners (including brand marketing, sales strategy and top tier customer teams).
  • Leads and guides a team of Insights & Analytics professional across the category.

Key Qualifications:
  • 7+ years' experience in Insights, Analytics, Strategy roles in CPG.
  • Proven track record of driving business by leveraging insights and analytics.
  • Demonstrates ability to influence cross-functional and upper management to impact decision-making
  • Outstanding communication skills; Ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely
  • Data pulling, analysis, and visualization skills are a must
  • Technical market research and analytical expertise in a range of quantitative and qualitative ad hoc research techniques and syndicated business analyses, including the role of AI and GenAI in insights.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; post-graduate degree or equivalent in Market Research, Social Sciences or Statistics is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $140,300 to $192,940; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
