We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Analytics to lead our analytics team that partners with cross-functional teams within the organization to make data-driven product decisions aimed at growth / business optimization.
PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Product lifecycle support:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams within the organization to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth / business optimization.
  • Provide thought partnership and influence decisions across Release Trains in a SAFE-like agile framework.
  • Help team establish business questions and requirements with stakeholders as well as to provide tactical consultations.
  • Support product ideation and discovery research and analyses that estimate potential opportunities and guide priorities/focused areas. Work with stakeholders and Experimentation Team to formulate Experiment Plan with proper Success Metrics by applying Experimentation best practices, perform test analyses with statistical testing.
  • Provide proper analytics requirements, validate tagging specifications, and perform data validation UAT to ensure data capture will support downstream analyses needed to generate the types of insights useful for product and business decisions. Support the maintenance of analytics implementation, and proactively identify areas of opportunities to optimize accuracy and analytics efficiency based on existing data framework as well as new needs with the consideration of long termed business directions.
  • Post-launch performance monitoring of the health of the Cox Automotive Retail Solutions' products and its businesses, proactively work with stakeholders to establish requirements for recurring and ad-hoc analytics support, including reporting, analyses, actionable insights, and recommendations to drive growth. Close the product lifecycle loop by showing product optimization opportunities unknown to Product teams to drive ideation.
  • Lead or prepare team to review results with various levels of internal and external audiences in a cohesive insights story with concise key takeaways, so that non-analytics stakeholders can walk away with a clear understanding of the so-what's, including implications on various teams within the Delivery Stream and recommendations on business decisions/actions based on findings.


Operational:

  • People champion with the passion for individual team members' career growth and for rallying team around a healthy team culture.
  • Lead a team by coaching team members with various levels of experience on the responsibilities mentioned above to support a focused part of our business. Inspire team to actions that support team goals, mission and culture.
  • Responsible for evaluating the performance of individual team members and for developing their talents via timely feedback and intentional growth plans that aligns with their growth goals.
  • Supervise team on product support activities by establishing proper analytics/research methodologies (e.g. data mining, advanced statistical techniques, experimentation design, etc.), reviewing outputs, driving clarity of insights, and maximizing efficiency on the production and distribution of thorough deliverables.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate the team's purpose and mission, champions the team so that cross-functional leaders readily understand and recognizes the value the team as well as individual team members contribute to our business.
  • Serve as Analytics Lead for company initiatives/projects that are cross-functional from planning to execution. Coach other analysts and work with their managers to ensure the delivery of the project according to milestones and timelines.
  • Work with leadership to define measurable long-termed goals and directions for the team, including a rolling roadmap that clearly demonstrates the execution plan and that aligns with business' strategic goals.
  • Work with Manager and direct line of leadership to define priorities, must be able to balance work across the team to deliver against business goals, working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to travel by land and/or air for same-day or overnight business trips (up to 15%)


SKILLS

  • Must be able to learn and use analytics and other relevant technologies (e.g. Web analytics tool, SQL-based databases, data visualization software, etc.). Ability to motivate the team to continuously learn about and adapt to the fast-changing digital and automotive landscape.
  • Must be able to work directly with vendors to resolve issues and on projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders for the best outcomes to drive broad business successes.
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholders' needs and recognize the opportunity to provide proactive insights to build tight thought partnership.
  • Demonstrated effective relationship building and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Must be able to manage up, down, and across to set proper expectations, mobilize decisions and actions at various levels in the organization to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to stakeholders at all levels. Must be comfortable with translating pieces of analysis results and insights into a cohesive insight story, as well as articulating analytical concepts in a concise manner.
  • Ability to develop and improve scalable process and standards that drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the Team.
  • Ability to translate complex questions into actionable tasks/project plans with clear timelines as well as coach other team members to develop this skill.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere with evolving priorities. Flexible working style; ability to guide the team to switch gears at light speed and thrive in an agile environment
  • Proven problem-solving ability with creative solutions, not afraid to challenge assumptions and intuitions, knows how to ask the right questions and prove/disprove hypotheses with data insights and lead the team to do the same.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in related disciplines (including analytics, statistics, mathematics, sciences, marketing, business, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Master's Degree in related disciplines (including analytics, statistics, mathematics, sciences, marketing, business, etc.) preferred.
  • 8+ years business experience, or equivalent combination of education and work related experience, with at least 3 years experience in a management/leadership role
  • 8+ years experience with the following or related tools:
  • SQL-based relational databases (e.g. Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
  • BI Tools (E.g. Microsoft PowerBI, Domo, Tableau, etc.)
  • Tableau server certification, AWS Data Analytics certification a plus
  • Web Analytics knowledge (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite (specifically strong Excel proficiency)
  • 8+ years experience with the following or related areas:
  • Intermediate SQL coding skill
  • Previous experience with ETL processing of big data
  • Previous experience working with machine learning or automation a plus, especially related to anomaly detection, setting thresholds, or natural language generatioN


USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
