Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, NFST manages the Non-Funded Support Team. This role oversees daily responsibilities to ensure the timely review and approval of disposition requests and compliance support cases related to the NFST team. The Senior Manager, NFST plays a key role as a stakeholder for audits, examinations, and compliance inquiries related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the Risk Management lifecycle by creating, updating, and managing tickets in JIRA, including but not limited to, conducting research, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, UAT, and post-implementation validation testing.
Provide oversight to all LOS pipelines to ensure correct disposition and folder placement, ensure files are dispositioned in a timely manner when applicable.
Build and maintain mechanisms to manage the timing of key events related to ECOA compliance, ensuring timely disposition, and overseeing project implementation.
Act as the primary point of contact for implementation of new products/LOS; conduct testing to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Operate as a key stakeholder for exam/audit/monitoring for inquiries related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action by drafting narratives and creating data sets.
Ensure notice of adverse action/incompleteness meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Act as a policy and procedure subject matter expert related to ECOA, FCRA, and adverse action.
Manage the Disposition Team (Non-Funded Support Team) and oversee day-to-day responsibilities related to pipeline management, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of non-funded loans and associated workflow activities.
Manage compliance support cases related to Non-Funded Support Team (NFST), such as reactivations and issues with dispositioning files.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation validation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Adapt to changing regulations, new product implementations, and evolving compliance requests.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance and/or risk role.
Minimum 1 year of experience managing teams, including reviewing and approving team outputs.
Experience in creating and analyzing data sets for audits and regulatory compliance.
Experience acting as a key stakeholder for audits, exams, and compliance inquiries.
Working knowledge of JIRA.
Working knowledge of ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), FRCA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), adverse action regulations, and policies and procedures related.
Familiarity with applicable LOS; including but not limited to: Encompass, NFTYDoor, Figure, and Quantum Reverse.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills.
