Your Role:

The Senior Manager, IT Resilience and Preparedness is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive IT resilience and business continuity program. This role involves working with executive leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure our IT infrastructure can withstand and quickly recover from disruptions.

Your work: (Essential responsibilities)

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a strategic vision for IT resilience and continuity that aligns with our business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Program Management: Lead the design, implementation, and management of our IT resilience and business continuity program, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify and mitigate potential disruptions to IT services.
  • Disaster Recovery: Oversee the development, testing, and maintenance of IT disaster recovery plans and technologies, ensuring they are up-to-date, effective, and aligned with recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
  • Incident Response: Support the IT incident response team by maintaining incident response platforms and playbooks. Ensure incident response readiness by keeping documentation up-to-date and conducting training for response personnel on incident mgmt. platforms.
  • Exercises: Plan, coordinate, and execute cybersecurity exercises to test organizational readiness. Develop post exercise lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of incident response capabilities.
  • Business Continuity: Collaborate with the business continuity team, chief technology office, and mission control teams on IT resilience efforts across the full IT resilience spectrum of availability, back and recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure their resilience and continuity capabilities align with our requirements.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure our IT resilience and continuity program complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, and prepare reports for senior leadership, the board, and auditors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the business and IT, providing regular updates on the status of IT resilience and continuity initiatives. Develop understanding of the business and keep the resilience program grounded in the business requirements.

What would make us excited about you?

  • 10 + years IT resilience, cybersecurity, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity management
  • 3+ years of people leader experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Continuity, or a related field
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning and project management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications
  • Certifications such as CBCP, IT DRP, or similar are strongly preferred
  • Creates a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe environment, demonstrating authenticity and fostering trust to inspire and empower team members and colleagues
  • Actively shapes our company culture through words and actions (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional projects, encouraging team member involvement in these activities)
  • Champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: interviewing candidates, building relationships with team members, etc.)
  • Translates our enterprise strategy and priorities for their team members to connect to the bigger picture
  • Demonstrates a company ownership mindset, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area
  • Travels as needed for role, including enterprise meetings, divisional / team meetings, and other in-person meetings
  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

The national average salary range for this position is $160,110-$177,900. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full [salary range] [hourly rate range] for this position across all the states we hire in is $144,090-$213,600. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 18% of eligible pay.
