POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Financial Information Systems is responsible for the strategy, governance, support, and continual optimization of BMCHS’s portfolio of enterprise financial business applications and reporting tools. This includes the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as well as five or more major financial systems and multiple ancillary applications that enable the complex financial operations of all BMCHS entities. The role supports BMC Corporate, BMC South, BMC Brighton, FPP/BUMG, BMCAP, Clearway, WellSense, and a wide range of stakeholders across Corporate Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain Operations, FP&A, Research, and clinical and non clinical departments throughout the enterprise. Recent organizational growth and expansion requires strengthened governance, elevated technical and application oversight and strategy to ensure system stability, scalability and multi-entity alignment resulting in expansion of role scope and complexity.
Serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, the Senior Manager translates organizational priorities into effective technology solutions. The role collaborates cross-functionally and across entities to identify and deliver opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system modernization. This leader guides system selection, implementation, enhancement, and lifecycle management to support stakeholder and enterprise wide goals for transformation, goals for excellence and improved visibility into financial and operational performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
This Senior Manager role will focus on the technical side of the house and will be very involved in:
Integration / interfaces
Automation
Reporting operational, analytics, and data management
Warehouse functions with mobile supply chain software and devices
System and security administration functions
Supporting the technical aspects of new functionality, emerging AI as needed and any replacement solutions that our business stakeholders may prioritize and fund for advancement forward.
Lead the optimization, identification, selection, and implementation of Finance Systems and tools to streamline multi‑entity and cross‑functional processes and support complex operational requirements across BMCHS.
Define and/or execute the Finance Systems roadmap, ensuring applications remain current, stable, and aligned with organizational priorities—including modernization, cloud migration, automation, and emerging AI capabilities.
Lead and manage prioritized projects and transformative initiatives, ensuring clear scope, structured execution, measurable outcomes, and stakeholder visibility.
Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, collaborating with Finance, Supply Chain, FP&A, Research, and operational leaders to enhance efficiency, improve visibility, automate workflows, and modernize systems.
Oversee resource planning and allocation for strategic initiatives, modernization efforts, and KTLO (keep‑the‑lights‑on) support, ensuring stable operations and timely delivery in accordance with established IT process.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, building strategic, high‑trust relationships and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals for transparency, operational excellence, and scalability.
Establish and lead governance structures to prioritize initiatives, manage risk, maintain system standards, and ensure alignment across multiple entities and business units.
Oversee portfolio and lifecycle management of Finance Systems, ensuring structured planning, disciplined execution, and effective change management.
Provide insights on system performance, technology trends, and innovation opportunities to guide business and technical decision‑making.
Maintain audit readiness and compliance for Finance Systems, integrations, and related workflows, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and robust security and access management standards.
Manage vendor relationships and service levels, ensuring value delivery, contract adherence, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
Develop high performing team(s) that can scale. Accountable for hiring, mentoring and professional development to support a high-impact, scalable delivery model.
Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensures robust support, configuration, testing, and documentation practices for all applications, integrations, reporting, security, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Financial Management, Finance Administration or a related field required
Master’s degree a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10 years working experience in financial management or information technology industry.
3-5 years of working experience in healthcare financial management or information systems technology is preferred.
Must have at least 3 years of management experience.
Experience with an ERP system preferred.
Experience with Infor highly desirable.
Project management experience is preferred.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience with software configuration and/or implementation
Strong project management and data management skills
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Solid leadership skills
Working knowledge of accounting, finance and business administration, General ledger and ERP’s to understand accounting and reporting software and configuration
Strong analytical and interpretation abilities to achieve financial report development
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access) or equivalent products
Experience with relational database management systems and some experience with SQL preferred.
Compensation Range:
$112,000.00- $162,500.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
