Thermo Fisher Scientific Korea is a leading life sciences business within Thermo Fisher Scientific, offering a broad portfolio of innovative instruments, consumables, reagents, and services serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, academic, and industrial markets.
We are seeking a Finance Senior Manager who will provide finance leadership and strategic business partnership to the Korea leadership team. This role will lead the Korea Finance team and serve as a key business partner to the Korea General Manager and Commercial and Operations Leaders.
The Finance Senior Manager will own financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and business analytics for the Korea business. In addition, the role will provide high-quality decision support, identify and drive opportunities to improve business and operational performance, strengthen financial discipline, and develop a high-performing finance team.
What you will do:
- Lead AOP / QBR / STRAP/ MBR, in a matrixed financial forecast
- Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX)
- Lead data analysis for the business, using complex data and problem solving
- Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
- Understands and deploys the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics
- Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e. engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep)
- Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities
- Build and develop a high performing team

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree plus 15 years of experience in progressive finance roles, including financial planning & analysis, reporting, and analytics.
- Min. 3 years of people management experience with proven leadership skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- An ideal candidate will possess excellent finance functional skills and communication skills
- Proven understanding of Financial reporting, ERP, Power BI, and other system automation tools is preferred
- Proven capability to understand various different business models and industries
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Proven business partner and influencer
Travel requirements
- 10% domestic/international travel required
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 15 years of progressive finance experience
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and analytics
