Your role at Dynatrace

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Product Management to stand up and lead the G&A workstream, owning data products that serve Finance, HR and IT. You will help craft and establish the vision, operating model and direction for the data product management capability.
You will shape product strategy through a combination of stakeholder partnership and independent judgment, understanding G&A business priorities, surfacing opportunities and making prioritization tradeoffs. You will coordinate execution across analytics and BI engineering, data engineering and platform engineering and ensure data products meet the unique needs of G&A functions. You will initially operate as a hands-on data product owner, owning stakeholder relationships, shaping roadmaps, coordinating delivery and driving adoption directly, while simultaneously establishing the practices and standards that will scale the team.

Data Product Strategy & Vision

  • Shape the strategic direction for data products and data practices across the G&A workstream (Finance, HR, IT), aligning with business objectives and enterprise data strategy
  • Help craft and establish the vision, operating model and standards for the data product management function as a foundational member of the leadership team
  • Develop the operating model for the G&A workstream: how products are managed, work is prioritized, delivery is coordinated and impact is measure
  • Advise G&A business and technical teams on data product strategy, surfacing opportunities and making prioritization tradeoffs
  • Drive data discoverability across the G&A workstream, ensuring business users can easily find, understand and access data products

Stakeholder Partnership & Delivery

  • Engage with Finance, HR and IT leaders to understand business priorities, surface data gaps and opportunities, and translate needs into data product strategy and requirements
  • Coordinate execution across analytics and BI engineering, data engineering and platform engineering to deliver builds, enhancements and infrastructure improvements
  • Partner with engineering, platform and business leadership on roadmap alignment, requirements and delivery coordination
  • Bridge G&A business functions and the central data team, managing expectations, communicating status and driving delivery

Data Quality, Governance & Platform Evolution

  • Partner with data governance on the implementation of data quality standards, SLAs and governance practices for G&A data products
  • Propose new or revised standards for data quality, SLAs, governance and data product lifecycle management within the workstream
  • Partner across the data team to drive the evolution of platform, governance and data practices
  • Support or lead strategic initiatives involving G&A domains, including transformation projects, platform/infrastructure improvements and AI/advanced analytics readiness

Function Building & Future Team Growth

  • Operate as the hands-on data product owner for the G&A workstream, directly owning stakeholder relationships, product roadmaps, delivery coordination and adoption
  • Establish the practices, standards and operating model that will define how data product management works as the function grows
  • Build the case for team expansion and lead hiring of data product owners as the workstream scales
  • Collaborate with peer data product managers to ensure consistency across shared assets, metric definitions and product management standards
  • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations to senior leadership and across stakeholder groups

This is a remote position within Canada. Must be willing to work EST hours.
