Lead data engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure
Drive infrastructure performance and cost optimization using Azure and/or GCP platforms
Manage data quality, access controls, and cataloging using tools like Unity Catalog or similar
Collaborate with warehouse, supply chain, and BI teams to deliver reliable data for analytics and reporting
Oversee annual performance management, career development, and mentoring for team members
Ensure platform stability, scalability, and observability for 24x7 operations
Support modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native stack
Align closely with product managers and analysts to prioritize data product delivery
Contribute to finops practices, cloud usage tracking, and spend optimization
14+ years in data engineering or data infrastructure roles, with team management experience
Deep hands-on experience in Azure (Synapse, ADF, ADLS, Databricks) or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer)
Proven people leadership, including performance reviews, mentorship, and team development
Familiar with data observability, metadata management, and cataloging tools
Experience supporting business users with BI and reporting needs (Power BI, Looker, etc.)
Good to Have Skills:
Exposure to FinOps tools or practices for cloud spend monitoring
Familiarity with agile delivery methods (Scrum/Kanban)
Working knowledge of data governance frameworks and access control models
Awareness of real-time telemetry or IoT data in smart warehousing
Certifications in Azure, GCP, project management, or data governance
