Job Description
We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager to join our Commercial Sales Strategy team, with a dedicated focus on the SMB segment in the APAC region. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in expanding Afterpay's footprint in the SMB market, crafting and executing strategies that will drive significant growth. You'll work closely with global stakeholders and collaborate with product, pricing, sales, marketing, and support teams to optimise the sales funnel, enhance merchant acquisition and retention, and ensure APAC's unique market needs are fully addressed and seamlessly integrated into our broader global strategy. Your efforts will be key in driving both merchant satisfaction and overall business success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that accelerate growth and market share within the SMB segment, ensuring Afterpay continues to be a leader in the payments space.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders, including product and operations, to ensure APAC's SMB needs are represented in Afterpay's global initiatives.
  • Enhance sales processes and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and performance within the SMB market, driving stronger results and merchant satisfaction.
  • Utilise data analytics to inform strategic decisions, identifying key opportunities to optimise performance and drive impactful initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to reduce merchant churn by developing and implementing targeted strategies aimed at improving retention within the SMB segment.
  • Oversee and drive the success of key programs within the SMB segment, ensuring they deliver measurable ROI and set new standards for strategic initiatives at Afterpay.
  • Work in close partnership with product, pricing, sales, marketing, and support teams to optimise the sales funnel, improve merchant acquisition and retention, and address challenges and opportunities across the APAC region.
  • Extend strategic coverage to other segments, including mid-market and enterprise, ensuring a holistic approach to market growth in the APAC region.


Qualifications

  • 8 years of related experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies
  • Proven ability to work with and influence global stakeholders across various functions to align strategies and achieve shared goals.
  • Proven track record in managing and executing large-scale strategic and operational projects, effectively navigating challenges across technical, operational, legal, and business domains.
  • Strong operational skills with a focus on optimising processes and driving tangible business outcomes.
  • Expertise in using data to guide decision-making and drive impactful strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in the payments and technology sectors is a plus.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about fostering growth within the SMB market.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft persuasive presentations and engage effectively with C-level executives.
