Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement assortment, pricing and promotional strategies for a subset of Home Depot's online offering.
The Sr. Manager, Assortment Management will partner with Merchants and other internal partners to align on a strategy and executional plan for driving improvements in the merchandising capabilities and overall assortment. Establish a prioritization framework and plan for successful execution.
The Sr. Manager, Assortment Management will manage a subset of the online assortment programs and be responsible for engagement and organizational alignment to deliver their goals. This position is responsible for developing strong partnerships with Merchants, Assortment Planning, Online Merchandising/Ops and other groups as needed to ensure solutions meet needs of the organization.
This individual provides direct leadership/management of 4-6 professionals and works closely with business partners to ensure organizational objectives are met. This role requires preparation and delivery of presentations and written documentation to all levels of the organization to communicate the various aspects of merchandising initiatives, including goals, timelines and detailed updates.
Key Responsibilities:

20% Lead online team that strategizes around and plans assortment, pricing and promotional strategies.

20% Work across the organization to understand opportunities for how to better support Home Depot's stores and Online merchandising groups

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Senior Director, Supplier Scalability
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Online and/or Retail Store Experience. Both preferred.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data from varying sources.
- Experience with relational databases. Epiphany and/or Omniture preferred.
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
