General Responsibilities
• Responsible for the carrier selection and management of all exports of isotanks and packaged goods from the Houston warehouse
• Monitor container status via carrier portals and ensure timely arrival of product and that requested ETA’s are met
• Execute logistics processes for order fulfillment transactions. Ensure accurate and timely execution of SAP transactions
• Creation and maintenance of third-party process purchase orders and sales orders to support the Order-to-Cash process
• PGI all orders daily to ensure a timely invoicing process
• Process empty railcars/schedule nightly switches as needed per terminal to maintain available inventory
• Maintain railcar inventory levels at ten locations throughout the USA and Mexico
• Send all necessary paperwork for new railcars arrival to the transportation provider (CoA, BOL, etc..)
• Report any defects or malfunctioning railcars and coordinate repairs
• Communicate changes to routes and weights with the transportation provider via TMS
• Process and correct workflow errors via AIMS application daily to ensure proper data flow
• Maintain and update route changes in Novus TMS to ensure all routes are invoiced accurately daily
• Track and trace all daily bulk deliveries via Novus TMS to ensure the timely arrival of product and requested ETA’s are met
• Enter customer orders with projected weights into AIMS system
• Audit invoices received from the bulk truck transporter
• Prepare Canadian customs paperwork in e-manifest port for driver deliveries
• Address all internal and external customer complaints promptly and appropriately to ensure zero loss of business due to Novus or Novus business partner’s actions or failures. Address complaints regarding logistics issues within the Novus Issues Management Tool in order to view, track and improve service levels and increase customer satisfaction.
• Create and manage customer profiles
• Maintain North American logistics operations in 100% compliance with government laws and regulations.
• Review monthly scorecard metrics with logistics providers, addressing issues and improvements needed.
• Support FAMI-QS audits and physical inventory counts at the shore tanks, rail yards and assist with audit requests. (travel required)
• Support Novus' Government Risk and Control Matrices, in alignment with J-SOX, reflecting control points and SOX compliance within business processes as they relate to NORAM logistics and inventory controls, and achieve 100% compliance as reviewed during all audits.
• Ensure BCP documentation is reviewed and updated annually, replace any BCP team members who leave the company, and support any BCP training/testing that is scheduled.
• Prepare and submit inventory adjustment forms monthly.
• Support the monthly closing for all orders, inventories, and transactions in a timely manner (last day of month)
Knowledge/Experience Requirements
• 2+ years of related supply chain experience in a multi-national corporation
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective logistics solutions, order fulfillment processes, foreign trade and import/export regulations
• Proficient in SAP applications and Microsoft Office.
• Spanish language proficiency a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task on complex projects and processes including the ability to think quickly and react appropriately under pressure
• Detailed analytical skills are required to understand and move logistics opportunities forward given the complexity of the supply chain
• Demonstrated negotiating skills working with logistics service contracts and operating agreements.
• Provide frequent, accurate, specific and timely feedback.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required both interdepartmentally within Novus and externally with service providers and strategic partners to ensure our logistics endeavors are in full support of our growth strategy.
• Foster process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Other Essential Requirements
• Occasional domestic and international travel to support annual physical inventory processes and operations.
• Work with Customer Service, Procurement, Corporate Planning, and Sales to ensure sufficient supply of products for internal and external customers, and respond to their issues in a timely fashion.
