About the Role:
We are seeking a corporate attorney to drive Vercel’s public company readiness efforts, lead M&A deals and strategic investments, and assist with various other areas of the business at Vercel, a fast-growing startup.
This is a new role on Vercel’s small but mighty legal team, reporting to the VP of Legal.
What You Will Do:
- Drive public company readiness initiatives for the legal team, preparing Vercel for a potential IPO.
- Lead public company reporting in the event that Vercel goes public.
- Oversee and execute M&A transactions and strategic transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
- Assist with general corporate matters, employment, equity and other legal and cross-functional initiatives.
- Help to create the workflows, processes, and policies that will enable us to scale as we grow.
About You:
- 8+ years of experience at a law firm and/or in-house.
- Significant experience leading SEC reporting and M&A transactions.
- Highly strategic, practical, and detail oriented.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
- Bonus if you have worked at companies with similar technology and/or growth profile to Vercel.
- Located in SF Bay Area and able to come to Vercel’s downtown SF office at least 2 days/week

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $244,000 - $366,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
