As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.
Job responsibilities
- Represents a product family of technical governance bodies
- Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices
- Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks, with a focus on cloud-native solutions and AWS.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors, emphasizing on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others, leveraging AI/LLM tools for coding and design
- Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes, with a focus on integration and service-oriented architectures
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus, including cloud, AI, and machine learning.
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, with a focus on integration architectures and service design.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, applications, and architecture, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes, with considerable in-depth knowledge in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight, using AI/LLM tools to enhance coding and design processes.
- Practical cloud-native experience, with a focus on AWS services and solutions.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture, with a passion for technology and a curiosity to self-learn emerging trends and technologies such as AI.
