Introduction:
Reconciliation is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data through daily reconciliations while supporting core hedge fund operational processes. This role acts as a bridge between front office, middle office, and back-office functions, ensuring smooth trade lifecycle management and data integrity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- F&O (Futures and Options), CFD (Contract for Differences), Swaps – Equity Swap, Interest Rate Swap
- Reconciliations – Cash rec, Position Rec, Trade Recs
- CFD Reset Reconciliation
- Fund Accounting – Journal Entries Debit/Credit
- Good knowledge and understanding of reconciliations processing (related to cash, position, trade) across all funds & instrument types (forex, equity, options, derivatives, swaps)
- Should be able to perform daily, monthly complex reconciliations independently
- Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies/breaks
- Should be able to liaison with internal as well as external constituents for information
- Ensure to adhere quality SLA while performing reconciliations
- Verifying prices and income, rate of interest etc. depending upon the security being booked through Bloomberg or other market data services and providing appropriate back-ups
Skills & Qualification:
- Graduate / Postgraduate or similar (Preferably Accounting, Finance and Banking)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Should have relevant fund accounting reconciliations
- Geneva experience would be added advantage
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and function with minimal guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good understanding of Capital Market, Hedge Fund and Financial Instruments
- Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Should have ability to work independently and also in a team environment
- Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shifts

Skills Required
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree (preferably Accounting, Finance, or Banking)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant fund accounting and reconciliations experience
- Experience with fund accounting reconciliations (cash, position, trade) across instruments
- Ability to perform daily and monthly complex reconciliations independently
- Experience researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies/breaks
- Experience posting fund accounting journal entries (debit/credit)
- Experience verifying prices/income/interest rates using Bloomberg or other market data services
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Good understanding of capital markets, hedge funds, and financial instruments (F&O, CFDs, swaps)
- Excellent organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to liaise with internal and external constituents
- Ability to work independently and in a team; flexible to work UK shifts
