Location: This is an on-site position in our Las Colinas, TX office.
Position Summary:
Trend Micro is updating our strategy for digital workplace management, emphasizing data-centric decision-making, enhancing employee experiences, and maximizing the benefits of our daily application usage. To support our continuous growth and the need for advanced process development, we’re introducing a new position. This role will be pivotal as we progress with our Corporate Digital Transformation. We’re on the lookout for a proficient Automation Engineer with substantial experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in propelling our automation efforts forward and deploying the solution to refine IT and business workflows. The focus of this role will be to employ automation technologies, especially in IT automation practices and endpoint self-service, to boost operational effectiveness and foster innovation.
Responsibilities:

Lead and execute Automation initiatives to streamline IT operations and enhance efficiency by reducing manual tasks for IT personnel and Control Owners.

Collaborate closely with various business units to identify and address inefficiencies through effective automation solutions.

Develop integrations between diverse systems, including proprietary and third-party applications, to enhance business processes.

Utilize API integrations and no-code solutions to design and deploy automation scripts from inception.

Enhance existing workflow platforms (e.g., Power Automate/BI, Microsoft Sentinel, Jira) by incorporating automation to minimize manual intervention during deployments.

Work closely with compliance teams to establish automated triggers based on scheduled intervals and requirements, ensuring accurate and timely compliance checks.

Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, protocols, and detailed test reports.

Perform both automated and manual testing as required.

Oversee production deployments and conduct post-deployment validations.

Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Requirements:
-
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

3-5 years of specific experience in automation within IT or Cybersecurity.
-
5+ years of progressive experience in IT within a dynamic, agile environment, ideally in a high-growth organization.

3+ years of hands-on experience in automation projects, best practices, and methodologies
-
Proficiency in critical IT processes, quality assurance, and testing methodologies. (e.g., implementation automation flow by leveraging MS Power automate, or any automation tools like UiPath robotic process automation, Cypress, Rainforest, etc…)

Experience with IT service automation, including API integration, monitoring and alerting automation, scripting, workflow automation, and self-service automation.

Familiarity with various third-party digital workplace tools.

Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Proven ability to proactively initiate and drive initiatives independently and deliver results through direct and indirect influence.

Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a passion for leveraging technology to drive automation.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and goal-oriented approach.

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable with change, ambiguity, decision-making, and meeting deadlines in a structured manner.

Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate shifting priorities and ad-hoc requests.

Relevant certifications in automation are a plus. (e.g. Google IT Automation with Python Professional, CSTAS, ITSQB).
