The Role

Copper River Shared Services is seeking a Senior IT Network Administrator will be part of our Information Technology team supporting a multi-company organization with operations around the globe. The ideal candidate will have significant understanding of network administration functions for on-premises infrastructure as well within the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC). Responsibilities will include firewall access control management, switch configurations, wireless LAN support, security event monitoring, end-user software installation, remote support of user endpoints, technical problem resolution, ticketing system management, account administration, software installation and patching, incident response, and IT infrastructure operational health and maintenance. This role will also be responsible for instructing users in the proper use of hardware or software by developing proper procedures and training materials.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Management and Monitoring of various network infrastructure including Palo Alto, Juniper Networks, Aruba wireless, and Juniper Mist platforms.
  • Technical support of Microsoft platforms to include Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Manage deployment of IT software and hardware assets.
  • Work as an integrated member of the Information Technology team providing a consistent and seamless support experience to our employees and contractors.
  • Support mobile platforms (tablets and phones) in securely connecting to Copper River systems.
  • Account management via Azure AD for provisioning/decommissioning user accounts, MS Teams creation, and other account or group related functions.
  • Monitor, operate, and control IT Infrastructure to maintain strict compliance with NIST 800-171 and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
  • Rapidly respond to, mitigate, and resolve information security events detected on Copper River systems.
  • Participate in developing iterative system architecture enhancements and deployment of new services and technologies as adopted by the organization.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Preference for degree in Information Systems and progressively related network administration experience, or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Experience with and demonstrated practical application of information security and compliance standards (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001, FISMA, FEDRAMP).
    • Experience with Information Technology Service delivery frameworks (ITIL, ISO 20000).
    • Experience with administration of network infrastructure components, specifically Juniper Networks, Palo Alto, and Aruba.
    • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings and handle shifting priorities.
    • High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Preference for MS Azure professional development certifications, vendor specific certifications, and/or CompTIA (A+/Net+/Security+) certifications.
