Job Summary
Community Health Systems is hiring a Cerner Senior IA to join our EHR Team. This role will help implement, manage, and modernize the Cerner EHR. As a Cerner Senior IA, you will be responsible for providing implementation service and support for the EHR Platform. Services include but are not limited to technology deployments of hardware, software, advanced troubleshooting, revenue cycle workflows, and clinical workflow. You will be focused on collaboratively guiding stakeholders and project teams with net new, add-on, and optimization deployments in various clinical settings. You will support through regular project events, testing calls, status meetings, and conversion support. You will contribute to implementation best practices, troubleshoot device integration issues, assess risk and mitigate findings throughout client engagements in partnership with engagement management. Additionally, you will facilitate technical discovery and provide expertise based on the specific environment, while also establishing relationships with the goal of achieving high level satisfaction. This role requires managing multiple work assignments.  
Essential Functions

  • As a Cerner Senior IA you will be responsible for providing implementation and support service for the Cerner (Oracle Health) EHR Platform.
  • Resolves complex problems that may involve various groups across functional lines and exercises independent judgment in developing processes, techniques, and success factors.
  • Responsibilities include the integrated technology deployments of hardware, software and clinical workflow. You will be focused on collaboratively guiding stakeholders and project teams with continuing support, net new, add-on, and optimization deployments in various clinical settings. This includes integration testing and mentorship across solutions.
  • Consult with internal project stakeholders, Business Partners, and organizational teams to bi-directionally share configuration status, project timelines and project updates, and verify configuration requests.
  • Stay up to date on industry and Cerner best practices for continuous modernization of the EHR. 
  • You will support through regular project events, testing calls, status meetings, and conversion support.
  • You will contribute to implementation best practices, troubleshoot device integration issues, assess risk and mitigate findings throughout client engagements in partnership with engagement management.
  • Additionally, you will facilitate technical discovery and provide expertise based on the specific environment, while also establishing relationships with the goal of achieving high level satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required or equivalent work experience 
  • At least 5  years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 3  years healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience
    • At least 3 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education.
  • Preferred: 
    • 8 years’ experience working with Cerner Millennium
    • 8 years’ experience working with CCL
    • 6 years of technical troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
    • 6 years assisting with project roll outs
       

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of system analysis, configuration management, and application lifecycle support.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex application issues and implementing effective technical and functional solutions.
  • Working knowledge of reporting tools, data analytics, and integration frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Skill in mentoring and knowledge-sharing with team members.
  • Understanding of IT governance, change management, and information security principles.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience

  • Experience with Cerner Millennium implementations and Cerner/Oracle Health EHR platform deployments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, communicate effectively, and mentor team members
  • Understanding of IT governance, change management, and information security principles

  • 6 years of technical troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
  • 6 years assisting with project rollouts
