Overview
Highly visible HR business partner supporting a customer and site in a multifaceted role for human resource programs, processes and associate relations.
Responsibilities
- Effectively partner with local leadership to guide day-to-day decisions about people and foster behaviors which are consistent with Saddle Creek’s values
- Timely and consistently manage associate relations, performance management, investigations, recruitment and selection
- Educate teams on company and legal requirements and ensure compliance across HR functions
- Dotted line management of Human Resources Coordinators supporting assigned facilities whose responsibilities include hourly recruiting and onboarding, hourly time keeping and compensation, and general HR administration within the facility
- Support employee development at all levels
- Coach individuals and teams to higher performance
- Identify and implement improvements in HR effectiveness and processes
- Facilitate change management; assist with start-ups
- Promote effective two-way communications
- Personally contribute to achievement of business goals
- Ability to travel for business needs (up to 20% as needed)
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required, PHR preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibilities some of which must have included HR generalist responsibilities
- Experience working in a non-union environment and executing union avoidance measures and tactics
- Experience in logistics, manufacturing or similar industry preferred
- Bilingual preferred

- Proven ability to influence all levels of HR teams, Management and other associates
- Self-starter with a strategic viewpoint
- Ability to identify issues and implement solutions
- Ability to anticipate and analyze problems, resolve issues through creative problem solving and manage multiple projects with changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to adapt those skills to the audience
- Knowledge of HR labor and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge or experience in Workday preferred.
