Job Description
The Senior HR Manager in Pune will play a strategic and operational role in driving people initiatives and fostering a positive work environment. This role will lead the Indian People Delivery team, ensuring alignment with global HR strategies while meeting local and regional needs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who collaborates closely with the People Team Centers of Excellence and the Global People Delivery Team to drive consistent, scalable processes that enhance the colleague experience and support business goals
This role will report into the VP, HR Business Partnerships
Responsibilities
- Partner with the global People Delivery Team and People COEs to understand and execute HR strategies related to talent needs, engagement, retention, and succession planning.
- Align HR processes and reporting with global standards while adapting to local business needs and best practices in India.
- Continuously monitor and enhance the quality, productivity, and efficiency of HR processes in the region.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to key stakeholders, providing insights and guidance on employment relations.
- Be a proactive voice in the India region, driving employee engagement and ensuring strong team collaboration across different functions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Lead onboarding initiatives to ensure a seamless transition for new joiners, reinforcing a strong company culture.
- Implement initiatives to maintain a pulse on workplace culture, proactively addressing concerns and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Partner with the global Total Rewards team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs for India.
- Work closely with statutory auditors (KPMG, PWC, EY, and Mazar) to ensure timely completion of audit-related actions.
- Ensure that People processes and policies are compliant with local labor regulations and audit requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, supporting payroll processing, employee records management, and HRIS administration.
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive global People initiatives through internal communication channels, ensuring employee awareness and alignment.
- Plan and execute town hall sessions in collaboration with India leadership.
- Support change management processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and company requirements.
- Collaborate across teams to improve the delivery of People-related services in the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior HR role.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience working with matrixed HR teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) within a global company.
- Proven ability to lead HR operations, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Ability to drive change management processes and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Experience working with UKG is a plus
- Analytical mindset with experience in HR reporting and data-driven decision-making.
