What We DoResponsible for the layout, design, and production activities to produce quality graphic-design art and visual materials. Requires knowledge of graphic-design equipment. May contact in-house or outside vendors to verify print specification. Performs complex graphics design duties requiring planning, scheduling, and implementation of graphic design projects related to marketing collateral and packaging. Reviews design drafts, proofs camera-ready art, and ensures proper pagination and color assignment. Responsible for applying established corporate branding specifications to ensure work meets company guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Plans, schedules, and implements complex graphic design projects for marketing collateral and packaging.
- Generates and manipulates complex graphic images, animations, sound, text and video.
- Designs documentation components, covers, and pages.
- Creates graphics for company's marketing materials.
- Creates and implements style sheets and sets color specifications.
- Creates illustrations and produces mechanicals.
- Troubleshoots screen shot process.
- Obtains price quotes from printers and copy centers.
- Troubleshoots production problems and interacts with company's staff and outside vendors regarding production issues.
- Responsible for applying established corporate branding specifications to ensure work meets corporate guidelines.
- Trains and provides art direction for junior designers. Reviews work of less experienced graphic designers/desktop publishers to ensure high quality.
- Prepares job specification forms, performs press checks, and reviews blue lines.
- Creates slide presentations, icons, and other graphics for the company's products and assists in the creation of graphic elements used in product demos.
- Proofs camera-ready art for content. Ensures proper pagination and color assignment. Stores and maintains camera-ready art for all projects.
- Contributes to the development and standardization of design elements that reinforce the company's image. Researches and implements new production methods and tools.
- Stays up to date with technological advances in the field and identifies areas of use in the organization.
- Applies graphic design principles (i.e., layout, imagery, typography, etc.) to communicate themes and messages in non-interactive communication materials
- Maintains corporate identity, design standards, and policies
- Coordinates vendor services as required.

The pay range for this role is $75,400.00 - $100,500.00
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
