Summary:
Shoals Technologies Group is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to serve as the primary onsite HR leader for our Muscle Shoals manufacturing facility. This role acts as the sole HR representative for the site, partnering closely with operations leadership and employees to deliver comprehensive human resources support across employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, compliance, training, and workforce planning.
The Senior HRG will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, supporting business objectives, and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Workforce Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for all employee relations matters at the Muscle Shoals facility.
- Investigate employee concerns, complaints, and policy violations while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolutions.
- Coach managers and supervisors on employee performance, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct workplace investigations and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Promote employee engagement initiatives and support a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hourly and salaried hiring needs.
- Coordinate interviews, hiring events, and onboarding activities.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure successful employee integration.
- Support workforce planning efforts to meet production and business demands.
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Guide leaders through performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, corrective action, and performance reviews.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning opportunities.
- Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain personnel records and HR documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to support regulatory compliance and employee wellness initiatives.
- Assist with unemployment claims, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Administer HR programs, policies, and procedures while driving consistency across the organization.
Organizational Partnership
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to site leadership.
- Analyze workforce trends, turnover, absenteeism, and employee engagement metrics.
- Recommend and implement HR solutions that support operational goals.
- Collaborate with corporate HR, payroll, benefits, compensation, and talent acquisition teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing employee relations and workplace investigations.
- Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations.
Certifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and other HR regulations.
- Excellent conflict resolution and employee relations skills.
- Ability to build credibility and influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
