Sr. Gas Engineer (Facilities Operations)
Position: Gas Engineer - Facilities Operations
Purpose
Responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of facility gas systems supporting manufacturing and utility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain facility gas generation, storage, and distribution systems.
- Manage LN₂ (Liquid Nitrogen), N₂ (Nitrogen), CO₂ (Carbon Dioxide), O₂ (Oxygen), CDA (Clean Dry Air), Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and other specialty gas systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted gas supply to production and facility operations.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of gas systems.
- Monitor gas purity, pressure, flow, and consumption.
- Troubleshoot gas system alarms, leaks, and operational issues.
- Support commissioning, qualification, and expansion of gas infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, LOTO, PTW, and hazardous gas handling requirements.
- Maintain operational records, SOPs, calibration, and maintenance documentation.
- Person should have proficiency in using Gen AI Tools, Copilot, Copilot library & Agent bots.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline
- Proficiency using Gen AI Tools, Copilot, Copilot library & Agent bots
- Industrial and Specialty Gas Operations experience (LN2, N2, CO2, O2, CDA, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium)
- Operation and maintenance of cryogenic storage and LN2 tank & vaporizer systems
- Gas distribution systems, specialty gas panels, manifolds, gas cabinets and VMBs
- Hazardous gas safety, leak detection, emergency response, LOTO and PTW compliance
- Preventive, predictive, and reliability maintenance processes; CMMS/SAP experience
- PLC/BMS/SCADA monitoring and control experience
- P&ID interpretation and pressure regulator/control valve knowledge
- Root cause analysis (RCA), risk assessment and HAZOP experience
- Project commissioning, qualification and vendor/contractor management
- Experience in Semiconductor Facilities
- Experience in Data Centers
- Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
