Accountabilities
APAC Scope
Manage the financial reporting process for the region, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Consolidate APAC financial results, forecast, budget and long-term planning from country finance team. Prepare financial analysis and commentary for review.
- Perform regional reporting tasks including month-end closing, balance sheet reporting etc.
- Work closely with the country finance team to ensure data quality and willingness to understand the business context behind the figures
- Drive continuous improvement of financial process and control to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Manage ad hoc projects and assignments if needed
China Scope:
Perform China day to day finance operations and analysis, ensure all compliances (audit, taxation, etc.) and applying global and regional finance strategy.
- Lead accounting service team to perform China closing including accrual and reclass preparation (sales, inventory reserve, expense), posting review, payment document review and etc.
- Work with tax consultants to ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, IIT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing regulation) including monthly /quarterly/annual returns, tax payment and fillings.
- Interface with internal and external auditors for all necessary audits/ advisory matters ensuring annual audit are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct master data maintenance
- Prepares monthly financial reporting including variance and financial statement analysis, support annual forecast, budget and long-term planning process.
- Performs customer and product profitability analysis
- Manage ad hoc projects and assignments if needed
Requirement Profile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to drive change and continuous improvement
Skill Requirement
- Proficiency with US and China GAAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with ERP system (e.g. SAP)
- Analytical skills with ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial data
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commercial acumen
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or a related field
- CPA accounting/tax passed preferred
- At least 3 years’ experience
