YOUR ROLE

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you report to the Managing Director of Commercial Finance as well as to the CFO for ad-hoc projects.  You will support the finance leads for all financial deliverables to clients, including contractual compliance, reconciliations as well as internal analyses such as staff utilization and profitability analysis. This role will work with the Client Service and People Teams to ensure financial elements of our client relationship are tracked, monitored, and communicated.   Ideal is a candidate who is NY based. We offer a hybrid work setting with working onsite in our NYC office and flexibility to work from home. 

The main responsibilities of the role are to support the Commercial Finance team and the CFO:

  • Works with the business to analyze and build forecasts, improve data capture and collection process to help analyze and create useful insights to share with the business leads
  • Track revenue vs. budget and research variance drivers and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare utilization, overhead and client profitability analyses and provide business insights
  • Support client contract negotiations and to ensure financial compliance
  • Collaborate with teams to develop tailored commercial solutions and proposals for clients
  • Supports the business in developing and tracking short, medium and long-term resourcing requirements
  • Help identify and provide ongoing analyses on risk profiles of the portfolio of existing clients and prospective clients
  • Support the efforts to prepare and produce all client financial deliverables
  • Supplies ad-hoc financial information and analysis
  • Manage and oversee Senior Financial Analyst

Experience

  • Relevant finance /commercial qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with 3 years relevant business experience with a preference for experience in client service industry
  • Proven ability to handle complex financial and operational analyses
  • Highly proficient in Excel including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, charts, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well independently and on teams
  • Tenacity to follow-through on open items to complete assignments and meet deadlines
  • An analytical and critical thinker, with the ability to tell a story backed by data
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact within team and across functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A supporter and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion

Salary range of $120k - $130k, commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.
