About the Role
McCain Foods is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our North America Sales Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager - US Retail Finance, in this role you will be a key finance partner to the US Retail business, helping drive profitable growth through insightful financial analysis, strategic pricing support, and disciplined trade investment management.
Working closely with Sales, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, you will provide financial leadership on customer profitability, pricing decisions, promotions, contract negotiations, and business development opportunities. You will play an integral role in evaluating commercial strategies, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring investments deliver sustainable returns.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with exceptional analytical and communication skills, enabling them to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Finance, Business Partnership & Strategic Insights
- Partner with the Sales organization to provide financial analysis and recommendations related to customer profitability, pricing strategies, trade investments, and promotional activities.
- Evaluate the financial impact of pricing actions, customer investments, and promotional programs to ensure alignment with profitability and margin objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support customer bids, contract negotiations, annual planning, and new business opportunities.
- Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support customer negotiations and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) teams to monitor market pricing, competitive activity, and category trends to support commercial strategy development.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance against plans, forecasts, and prior-year results.
- Identify key business drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Deliver meaningful reporting and insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the business.
Trade Investment Management
- Monitor and analyze trade spending and customer deductions to ensure effective control, compliance, and accurate financial reporting.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within trade investments and recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
- Support forecasting and planning activities related to trade spending and customer investments.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting, pricing governance, forecasting accuracy, and business processes.
- Participate in North America finance initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing business performance.
- Build strong partnerships across cross functional teams to achieve business objectives and deliver results.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, sales finance, or trade investment management, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP and financial planning systems; SAP and OneStream experience preferred.
- Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence and analytics tools is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, including profitability analysis, margin management, forecasting, and ROI evaluation.

Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
