Job Position: Sr Financial Analyst - Global Services & Support (GSS)
Location: Lagunilla, Costa RicaThermo Fisher Scientific has an immediate need for a Financial Analyst III to be a core member of the Americas Services FP&A team. This position will provide support to the Americas Finance Manager and will partner directly with regional function leaders.
Position ObjectiveJoin our dynamic Services FP&A team as a Sr. Financial Analyst, based in Lagunilla, Costa Rica. This role involves playing a significant part in aiding the primary FP&A and business intelligence efforts to help the organization reach its goals. The responsibilities include financial reporting activities, business partnership for OpEx, forecasting, and closing activities. It is a role that requires a self-starter with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities. Building positive relationships with business leaders in the respective functions is vital. Well-built analyses and clear communication with senior finance leadership are needed.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Americas management to develop regular monthly/quarterly management reporting packages, including financial and key performance indicator metrics.
- Support the consolidation of monthly forecasts and provide insights to Americas management and finance leads.
- Cost center and headcount management to ensure accuracy for internal managerial reporting and optimize prioritization to drive operational efficiency
- Prepare month-end close journal entries and update reporting files daily.
- Must have: Proficient in Hyperion planning system, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms a plus
- Familiarity with a tier 1 ERP system (E1, SAP, etc.) a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 5+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and managing costs preferably in a matrixed organization
